Officer Craig G. Story honorably served with the Arlington Police Department for seven years beginning in May 2002. During his tenure, he served on the SWAT team and Tactical Unit, and received 19 commendations for his exemplary service. In 2005, Officer Story was nominated for East Officer of the Year.
A black belt in jujitsu, OfficeR Story was fluent in Spanish and devoted each day to making life better for his sons, one of whom was born eight months after he passed. Officer Story was driven by his passion to provide and do the best for his family, and made sure to blow a kiss to his son as he drove off to work on his motorcycle every day. Officer Story’s love was shown through how he lived for his family and through his walk through life with God.
On Wednesday January 13, 2010, Officer Craig Story was pursuing a speeding motorist when his motorcycle collided with an Arlington school bus. Officer Story is survived by his wife, Danielle; sons, Barrett and Colton; mother, Shirley; father and wife, Donny and Edwayna; and his sister, Michelle.
