Walmart Holds Charity Softball Tournament, Supports Local First Responders

This past weekend Walmart held their annual charitable softball tournament at the McInnish Sports Complex located in Carrollton, Tx. Garland Police Department put a team together to compete and round things out to 15 teams. Walmart has been making an impact in communities world wide by partnering with organizations that touch thousands of lives every year.

The stores in the Region 5 area of Dallas, TX raised over $90,000 dollars benefitting two charity organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The benefitting charities were the Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas and CASA for Children. Walmart was able to raise over $78,000 dollars for the Guns & Hoses Foundation, with Market 44 raising the most money in the entire North Texas area. 

The Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas wants to say thank you to all the participating stores for giving back to the communities, and showing their support for our first responders. We also want to say thank you to all the first responders out there each and everyday putting it all on the line to protect our communities, for this we thank you. For those who went before.
