Guns & Hoses Benevolent Fund Activated For Euless Officer David Hofer Killed In The Line Of Duty

(Tuesday-March 1, 2016)

Today at approximately 2:45pm members of the Euless Police Department responded to a “shots fired” call at J.A. Carr Park. Upon arrival the officers approached a suspect carrying an unknown weapon, the suspect opened fire on the officers striking Officer David Hofer. Officer Hofer was rushed to the Baylor Medical Center in Grapevine where he was later pronounced dead during surgery. The suspect was also shot and pronounced dead after being taken to a different hospital.

The Guns & Hoses Benevolent Fund has since been activated after learning about the death of Officer Hofer. We will now be accepting donations and expect to deliver a check to the family of the Fallen Officer within the next week.

We want to send prayers to our brother and sister in blue of the Euless Police Department, and we want to send our prayers and condolences to the family of Fallen Officer David Hofer. You are a true hero; your honor and bravery will not be forgotten.
